Bucket list park completed. Had to fly from LA to New Jersey to go to a wedding so naturally I felt it was a good enough excuse to then fly to Jacksonville afterwards and skate parks as we drove all the way up the east coast to DC.
Decent bridge DIY spot in Charleston too.

Just got back from a week in Salt Lake City. Did 16 parks in total. Amazing mountain backgrounds at most of the parks. Chipping away now, Iām on 393. I reckon by next summer ill be halfway there.
May as well change the thread title to 1000 skatepark challenge
Iād like to get to 1000 before Iām 40 and I turn 34 next month. 100 parks a year for 6 years is feasible.
Then what? 10,000 skatepark challenge? Or actually just go skating and have funā¦
Still chugging away at this. Itās getting harder to go to new parks as Iāve done every one within an hours radius. Iām only on 91 this year so far so I think Iāll do a mega day next week and hit 9 more to make it an even 100 before the end of the year. I did 120+ last year I think.
This video features parks in Ventura, Las Vegas, a few in Utah, and some more around Los Angeles. Iām moving back to the UK in April so gotta make these next few months count!

431/1000. Had a couple mates visit from England (and my Dad). I have 2 months left in the USA to churn out as many parks as I can. Iāll have 6 weeks unemployed so just gonna get in the car and keep driving and see how many I can get.
467/1000. Went to a couple sketchy parks in Compton and Watts at 6:30am to avoid any trouble. Also bumped into Ricky Glaser as you do and did a terrible kickflip on his livestream. Guess Iām an influencer now.

499/500. Itās been a minute. I have moved from sunny Los Angeles to the freezing cold Scottish Borders indefinitely. Parks are sparse around here. Plenty around Edinburgh/Glasgow it seems but thatās an hour plus driving, so Iāll wait till the Summer to tick some of those parks off.
Only did 80 new parks in 2024. Iāve been averaging 120+ most years. Probably will only get to about 50 in 2025.
Still, halfway to 1000 so I canāt stop now.
508/1000. Hit park 500 in November 2024 and have only been skating a handful of times since then. The weather is an obvious factor but Iām also just not feeling it as much anymore. Understandable as I did move from Los Angeles to the Scottish Borders. My nearest new parks are now over an hours drive away and Iād much rather be doing other things with my weekends.
This is probably the first time I have thought about quitting getting to 1000. But I just spent a week in London and took my board and hit a few new parks and I think the bug is back. Iām looking to do a few new parks this summer and see if I can creep towards 600.
Iām also in too deep now to stop. I used to hit 100+ new parks a year, but if I can even do 25 new parks a year now Iāll be happy. Might get to 1000 by the time I turn 50 in 14 years time.
Iāve been meaning to skate Cann Hall for ages. I went once a couple of years ago in the middle of the summer holidays and got really self conscious as it was full of non-skating adults my age with their children, and I felt judged haha. Need to go back
Also, that nosegrind at city mill was nice, Iāve been working on that exact trick for a few weeks, but just cannot balance it all the way.
There was me and one other guy skating Cann Hall and that was starting to feel crowded so I canāt imagine how it would be with young kids about.
The nosegrind I just did a nose manual and tried to ignore the tiny bit of grinding haha
