I just watched this again and it’s really good. Tons of guys skating crusty spots in Eastern Canada, New England and New York.
The noseslide to boardslide at 11:17 is so ill. Love it when you can tell somebody skated something and improvised, adapting to the spot. Far more interesting than another tech line at MACBA in my book.

Young Cromer skating to Talking Heads. Already had a really good 360 flip (0:33) and one of the best kickflips (2:14, check that catch!) back in the day.
The street grab at 1:28 is pretty cool too.

The line which starts with a bigspin, and has a switch nosegrind revert in it, and both tricks time up with David Byrne singing the word ‘home’ is wonderful. That whole part was wonderful. Proper good pick me up on a shitty day. Best of luck Franky!
Yes! The bigspin and the switch front shove blend together so well too. I’ve never tried switch nosegrind reverts but I’m totally learning them when I can skate again.

That Cromer part has aged like a fine wine. There was a Nollie Inward Heel on flat in that clip, beautiful. That trick can honk.

Skating OG SF spots at Mach Julien to Roadrunner, it doesn’t get much better than this.
3rd and Army is (and was) far from as perfect as you imagine it to be from footage. The ground there ain’t all that and there are huge cracks everywhere, making it harder to skate as it’s hard to keep your speed. Some of the stuff he does there (kickflipping up the block then ollieing two gaps in a row at 2:07, or the 3 trick line with zero pushes at 2:18ish) is unfuckingreal. If you ever go there, watch that stuff before going. I guarantee you’re going to spend a fair amount of time staring at those blocks in disbelief.
