Tried to get a deadline banger today and pretty sure I broke my big toe. Literally every time I try to get a clip I end up hobbling around for weeks after.

Saw your Insta @nav - did you get a tracking gimble?
I’ve been playing with one recently with mixed results. It loses its marbles when you go over pump humps

I would make a joke that I went skating with other people, but that might be too far fetched to work.
I recently bought an Insta360 camera to see how it goes for filming skating. It works pretty well, but the editing experience is a bit of a long winded nightmare.
I also tried a phone gimbal at one point, but could never get it to do follow stuff without it looking too choppy and robotic, or flat out just not working.
We calling this now? I’m hanging it up for winter shortly and getting the proper camera out haha

Sounds good to me. I’m getting closer to a couple of things, still playing with the gimbal so that leaves a little breathing space.

Not sure if I mentioned in this thread or elsewhere, but I’m using the DJI 7P one. Been a bit of trial and error with it, but managed to get back and forth runs in the local park with it following ok. Only the pump hump gave it trouble. Too close and it tilted too far upwards. Sometimes it just completely lost me.
Seems like using the phone camera with 4k 60 and the 7P tracker at a distance a little further away that you’d think is fairly ok.

I did wonder if Nav was using his Neo (I think you won one a while back?) in spotlight mode.

Yeah, my gimbal was relatively old, think it’s 4 or 5 generations older than that one, also my phone at the time wasn’t the newest, so that might have caused issues too.
