No they won’t, they’ll just move on to the next thing. Same ones who were banging on about controlled demolitions and holographic planes for 9/11.
Why is anti-vaxx spam tolerated by mods on this forum?
I hope it’s not because you’re waiting to see if it stimulates a conversation, because we all know there’s no reasonable conversation to be had.
This book’s argument, which was meant to be based on her PhD thesis, rested on a really basic misinterpretation. There was a bit of a car crash moment on the Radio 3:
Her reputation was pretty wrecked after this but she torpedoed it further by making a bunch of anti-vaccine statements and getting banned by Twitter.
Oh it’s her… yeah she is pretty bad with her facts and researching them. Here is the short version of that radio interview… oof!
Haha withering tuba loop at the end
It’s not spam, it’s what people out there are gobbling up so while yes, it’s being shared in here giving it reach, it is sparking up discussion of sorts and frankly some of it is entertaining, how else would I have witnessed Les’ lovely Dr evaluation otherwise?
We can’t just sit in this bubble pretending everything is great when it’s not, none of us are doing anything about it in a real sense so at least we’re shooting down the odd bit of rubbish so there is evidence online that there are sensible arguments and pisstaking against the bullshit if it comes up on a google search.
Just had my booster. Moderna again, anyone else had 3 moderna?
I had AZ/AZ/Pfizer.
Did my Day 6 LFT this morning and it came back positive - so no early release for me. Waaaa
Yeah yeah I was just in a pissy mood yesterday so I was being a Karen. January blues. Sorry mods you’re all champs.
It’s just a skate forum, it doesn’t matter and I can just mute this thread/certain users if I want.
Yeah we need to be open to other views. Although not aligned with my own I want to hear what informed anti vaxxers are saying otherwise it’s just an echo chamber.
… LOL!
I don’t understand the logic of the early release tests. My son tested negative on day 6 and 7. Yesterday, two days later I test positive, and his LFT comes up positive as well. I checked and you’re not advised to do a PCR or a LFT for 90 days after a confirmed positive, so I don’t see how you can trust the day 6 and 7 tests. They feel like a dodge to stop the complaints about the length of isolation.
Oh, is that why I can’t find any official info on what to do if you’re still testing positive after your isolation period has ended?
Foolishly I had got my hopes up for an early release.
I found this on a Department of Health document:
Testing within 90 days of a positive PCR test
Following a substantial clinical review of the latest evidence and testing data, we are now changing the advice for retesting within 90 days of a positive. From now on, if someone tests positive with a PCR test, they should not be tested using PCR or LFD for 90 days, unless they develop new symptoms during this time, in which case they should be retested immediately using PCR. This 90 day period is from the initial onset of symptoms or, if asymptomatic when tested, their positive test result.
UK Health says:
You should not take an LFD test before the sixth day of your isolation period, and you should only end your self-isolation after you have had 2 consecutive negative LFD tests which should be taken at least 24 hours apart. You should stop testing after you have had 2 consecutive negative test results.
I guess there is a sweet spot for when the tests help.
Really appreciate that - thank you! x
Just got an email off school. Step daughter was due back on weds but is having to home school along with the rest of the school as there isn’t enough teachers to go around… Here we go again.
Lol at you guys getting your so called ‘facts’ from Wikipedia and other reptilian controlled internet sources on your 5G Chinese phones.
Fire up your Amiga and download the 2022 Anarchists Cookbook on FIDONet BBS for the real truth.
For those of you who haven’t seen them yet, I highly recommend watching this year’s Christmas Lectures on iPlayer: About Going viral: How Covid changed science forever | Royal Institution
I confess that I missed a fair bit of the first one as I was cooking, but the second one was great. A lot of great info on viruses, transmission, the maths behind pandemics, the hidden tech in masks, vaccines, ventilation… just about everything you could think of wanting to know about the pandemic and just about everything you would want to encourage an anti-vax/anti-mask/covid denier to watch.
