Where does that leave us?
It confirms that people who believe in herd immunity can shut the fuck up now.
That is very promising!
Some dipshit turned up to my office with C19 last week and now I got to go home and not allowed to travel anywhere
It’s nice to see some good news - even if it is only a little bit.
Heard an add for the vaccine trials on the radio today and was honestly tempted to try and sign up.
Anyone else here in Wales? The local town has been proper dead the last few days, plus with the weather being so shit lately this lockdown feels far worse than the last one, way more grim. Winter’s going to be proper shit.
Its all pointing towards an endemic now not a pandemic - so yearly vaccinations.
First round will be a Pfizer vaccine that needs to be stored at -80 so tricky supply chain for front line US workers only.
Looking like my local area is finally going into Tier 2, with talks of the whole of the West Midlands going into a “Tier 2 Plus” thing that would would entail measures somewhere in between 2 and 3 and would include wearing a mask in all places apart from in own homes/gardens.
Many people have certainly had it worse, but bloody hell I’m finding this whole thing draining at this point.
Where abouts? I’m in good 'ol Port Toilet, I mean Talbot.
Lockdown isn’t really a thing to most people here hahaha.
Notts tier 3 proposal announced on Monday excluded North of the county but as of today, that’s been extended to include it, which is where my dad lives.
I’ve got accommodation booked up there for early December.
I might have to seek a refund and book closer to the time.
There is a very good question being asked by numerous MPs at the moment which is how does an area exit these tiers?
North Powys, right in the centre of the country, proper middle of nowhere countryside. Really beautiful place, but mad boring and grim in this weather.
I’ve heard Cardiff still has a few anti lockdown protestors around the place, dingbats.
France going into lockdown for at least all of November…
Their lockdowns are proper as well; limited reasons for leaving home and you can only do so with official paperwork. Our lockdown was nowhere near that level.
There’s no chance we’ll avoid a similar lockdown within the next four weeks. People will look at Macron being decisive and potentially “saving Christmas” (
) and see us pissing about with three tiers in England, five in Scotland, and so on and “losing Christmas” and the public pressure will make BJ cave in.
I drove past a retail park today and there was a Barker and Stonehouse cafe rammed with people of all ages, no masks. I don’t get how the novelty of a coffee you didn’t have to make yourself, consumed on an identikit soulless retail park of all places, is worth risking getting ill for.
You can’t put a Costa on freedumb.
A million billion pounds it’s already happening to a few of us on here. ![]()

A shame to see this, a great entertainer of the 80’s.
They both did loads for the armed forces and very much loved by the people who grew up in the 80’s, Many of them being the anti mask lockdown idiots.
Hopefully a positive can come from his passing and wake some of those nut jobs up.

Ahh ‘exodus’ because of lockdown?
Where they going. To their chateaus in the country?
