ahh yeah that’ll do it ! they were 54’s, they’re not even necessarily much smaller but i can feel the smoothness has finally began to wane

The grip message made me laugh!
I use Autoglym Engine Cleaner on a set of Swiss, dry ‘em off and a drop of Speed Cream. It was what I had handy. Bearings must be about 9 or 10 years old now, no issues.
Ah, household product. Isopropyl Alcohol?

WD40 will clear out whatever is in there as it’s a type of detergent. Spray a load into an old hummus pot, swish them about for a bit and leave overnight. You’ll need to dry them out afterwards and put speed cream or some sort of bearing grease/lubricant in there, but they’re then as good as new.

I think acetone is basically nail polish remover, right? So if you’re looking for a household product you can probably get it in boots/tesco etc

It’s a ball ache, but the best way of cleaning is to totally strip them down and polish the races with a solvent soaked q-tip. You get a lot of impacted grime on them that just dunking in a solution won’t remove completely.

Fuel injector cleaner, sprays with a bit of power so can blast the grime a bit.

I forgot the difference new wheels can make. I’ve been running the same wheels for ages, finally bought some new Bones wheels, and I couldn’t believe how much faster they were, especially cruising round a smooth concrete park.

I used to run everything in a combination of red white and black; trucks, wheels, the lot. First step away was a set of raw ventures (they had the red V logo on though, so still appeased my needs). The proper break for it though was a deck I got through Last Post. I’m still really particular about colours, but now I won’t have anything besides raw trucks and white wheels.

True! Dressen definitely made those look cool.
JT kinda had a thing going with red trucks in his Welcome to Hell days too, but let’s keep it extraordinary with Dressen and no one else, haha!
