General Election '24

lol Nigel gets more applause than the SNP

He’s got nothing to sell, so nothing to lose and he knows it. He doesn’t care about answering actual questions. He can’t believe people still give him air time and how much money he can milk out of this election ride.

Mordaunt even dropping her ‘t’ and saying “cudding taxes” because she’s with the plebs :open_mouth:

Farage is a pantomime villain and plays his part well.

Lib Dem’s looked decent tonight minus being reminded of the tuition fees.

The problem with these formats is that tories and labour get bogged down in lies and rebuttals VS each other and it’s just becomes an awkward sideshow while the other 5 sit back.

The youth club and community spaces thing really bugs me. Especially for things like music. Other countries every decent size town will have community spaces that double as youth clubs, elderly centres etc but also make venues for local acts to play at.

Mate of my toured tiny nordic venues with his band for months. Some of them even ran local radio stations where they’d broadcast the live show.

The whole thing is built into their council expenses because they feel the community spaces are vital to, yknow, the community

I skipped this one.

Took my lad to the shop, bought him some Lego, steak, beer and wine for myself. Feels like a better use of my time

Super rich fat as fuck, country in ruins. Job done

Is this too tinfoil? Cameron is advising Rishi badly to retake the leadership when they lose? Call an early election, no you go home and sort out that mess while I stay here and get the photo with the world leaders…

I like how he is in the shade.

European election results a bit of a shocker.
While the UK is set to elect a Labour government, Marine Le Pen, Geert Wilders and the AFD look to have made massive gains.

Hope this utter Michael Fabricant is never heard of again in 4 weeks time

Who’ll come second though? Conservatives fractured by reform and other smaller parties might let Lib dems in…?

There are some (just some) people saying the election could go like this…

  1. Labour
  2. Lib Dem’s
  3. Conservatives

That would be wild.

That might be good

Let’s be honest, as things stand that’s as close to the best case scenario we’re going to get. Better still is if Greens push the Cons to 4th but that is never going to happen!

I personally can’t see Lib Dems getting second but I think it’ll be really close.

I notice Starmer is now also spending the private school VAT money on 3000 nurseries along with the 6500 additional teachers.

Must have spent that money twice over now. Perhaps he can also fix the NHS with it.

Shame his shadow education secretary isn’t quite so sure that it won’t have a negative impact on education
