Just thinking about mirror illegals…
I’m a big fan of mirror lines, so like Arto does in Sorry, recreating the same line in the opposite stance, trading fakie for nollie etc…
But some tricks that I think look dope, Fakie Nosegrind 180 for instance (Brian Anderson does a rad one in Yeah Right) then look illegal the other way, so Nollie 5.0 180…
I’m not a fan of Fakie Smiths really but you see them, thankfully though you never see Nollie Willy grinds (the same trick mirrored…)

I fully agree with you two.
Ali and Arto both had footage of nollie 5-0 reverts and couldn’t make them legit.
Fakie tailslides are kinda stupid but fakie backtails are rare and underrated. Used to see them all the time in the mid 90s and now nobody does them.
Regular backside bluntslides on ledges can be cool but switch ones usually look weird.

switch bs blunts are often used as a turnaround trick in a line rather than as a single trick. So I feel that we mostly see rushed, stubby little ledge scrapes as opposed to rad, long ledge-polishers.
Not talking about rails obv, but then we go back into that blunts on rail shit at the beginning of the thread.

Hadn’t heard of him until Radrat mentioned that he’s got the biggest production board out. Didn’t realise Powell even had a team.
That trick is inexcusable, that’s encouraging people not to pop. It sets a dangerous precedent…
Still though, there’s a Heroin video out and none of the tricks have made it to this thread?

I’m fine with any trick being done, it’s the intention of how it’s presented is what’s important. That trick is nasty but it’s cool he’s done it, just hope it’s not considered more than it should be.

I call out one of the young un’s I skate with for doing noseslide shuvs out…
But I do crook shuvs out from time to time.
I’m a hypocrite ¯\_(ツ)\_/¯
I do concur with what others were saying on back board, shuvs out. I hate that trick, which seems to be ‘on trend’ these days. It’s very rare someone will make it look smooth.
