Which one?
Although the only Unabomber board I want is this Harry graphic

What an absolutely joyless skatepark in the background.
I could be well keen for that. Which one?
Think its a Lost Dog one. Ill get into the garage and get a picture tomorrow
Heres a good one…
I used to work on and off in the Slam Warehouse…the first two of them. Late 90’s.
Helicar worked there and OG 'Bomber was distributed through Slam.
Their first pro boards came in. I was boxing them up to send to shops. It was 3 pro boards IIRC but 4 sizes as Harry rode an Grey 8.125 and they couldn’t sell anything bigger than the blue 8 (ha!).
I banged out the Channers and the Rushbrookes (? Or maybe Helicars?) dropping them into the 25-30 open boxes I had fulfilling UK shops orders…and everyone went for lunch.
I wanted to leave early so worked through lunch and boxed up all the Harry boards.
Wait a minute. Was it the grey he rode? Or the blue?
Maybe the blue, right?
Thats where I was at. Didn;t have anyone to check it with, but I was sure.
Harry came in the next day to grab his pro model.
I think there were about 3 left which he could actually ride. I’d shipped the wrong ones out…
What. A. Fucking. Plum.
How many boards were companies like Una selling at that point?
We were selling a lot at SS20 2005-2011ish
This was their first run of pro boards, so early days. Pre-Headcleaner. I think UnaPromo was out, though.
I think at a guess there were 100 of each pro board. Long time ago, though. But that seems about right…300 boards in, then more would arrive a 6 weeks later or something.
Like I say; long time ago so its hard to remember exactly. Could have been half that. Could have been double.
I do remember putting the covers onto the VHS tapes for Misled Youth, Jump off a Building and Nervous Breakdown (They were Tum Yeto distributors at that time). They were all 1000 copies which were all pre-sold. Misled Youth came in a few times in that respect. Probably 3-4k sold in the UK. Thats pretty sick.
Those brands probably sell 10 boards a month these days here, being distributed by TKC.
@Londonskater or anyone else interested? Its not doing much sitting in my garage
How much do you want for it?
No idea mate, not sure what theyre worth to be honest
Open to offers/swaps
I’ve never managed to save anything cool like this. I managed to get a few pro boards from people I know but always ended up skating them when I was skint and needed a new board.
This is the only half interesting deck I’ve saved…
A gonz krooked from around 2001, with a square nose. It was impossible to find any ‘wacky’ shapes back then.
No idea either.
Will see if I have something cool to swap tho. I’ll dm after work.
I rode two of them or maybe one and a Jason Adams sixgun punk point? Seem to remember some of the MAS guys riding them backwards.
Ha, I came across that board last week whilst researching something. The Chapman Archive is fun to look through, I wish more brands had similar things in place.
Actually, skateboarding on the whole needs a better cataloguing system.
Yeah DLX do. A few years ago a mate of mine got in touch to get the original artwork of something for a tattoo. They had it and they were down.
@thesovereignsect is on Insta is basically the Workshop/Habitat archive, would be cool as a full blown website though.
I suppose something relevant to consider here too is lot of what we’d call ‘heritage’ companies who made a lot of stuff pre-digital (or digital as we know it know), it wasn’t as easy to store all that artwork - let alone log it in some orderly fashion.
Youre probably better off asking the artist rather than the brand
Nyjah’s new company/board sponsor?
Very unpleasant
