Stoked on that Tony Hawk clip too. I love how he’s been killing it for over 30 years and said he never stretched or anything, just skated every day (and fucked his babysitter). Vans need to go through some kind of reality check and give Reynolds and Hawk pro shoes and tell Kyle Walker and TNT to go flip burgers.

Kyle Walker’s 2nd and most recent pro model is absolutely dreadful. Rowan Zorilla is another one who has a totally unnecessary pro shoe, and it looks like a standard knock off dad shoe from the market, two pairs for a tenner.
I do miss the times when there were a huge and diverse catalogue of pro models around, all named so you could tell they were a pro model, but so many of them now are so derivative and with asinine names. Take Etnies for example, they have the Marana, which I believe is a Sheckler pro model, then you have the Joslin which is just a Marana with a slightly redesigned upper, same situation at Nike where they have the Janoski and the Shane O’Neill model. Or you have Vans where other than Crockett or AVE, none of the pro models really offer anything that just being another shoe in the catalogue, that could’ve been designed by absolutely anyone or been just a team model.
Just buy half cabs.
I’ve basically worn them since I was old enough to be able to afford them.
I do run loads of other shoes that people are kind enough to send me still (shoutout NB and Vans) but if I had to nail my allegiance to the mast, it’s half cabs, ftw

Rowan’s shoe sucks. It looks nice, I like the modern Half Cabesque feel it has but it’s too bulky and I can’t skate in it, feels like I’m wearing ski boots. The dude is really good but I don’t see why he got a shoe. Maybe he gets extra credit for being sponsored by Supreme.
Half Cab Pros and Crockett 2s are my favourite shoes right now.
