He’s in the same bracket as Chris Cole for me, technically really good but his footage doesnt do much for me.
Wondered why he ducked the spotlight, he was everywhere for a while
Seeing him skate in person when I was living in Leeds was mind blowing. Could literally do anything.

Yeah I saw him loads at all of the comps back in the day and it was obviously super impressive cause you know he had no idea what he was going to do when he was dropping in but theres just something about it that didnt do much for me. Don’t know if it was his gear or what

Still skates and lives in his hometown, just never took stuff further. Always a pleasure to see him and he’s still got so many mad ones when he does skate. Such a wizard !

I was at a contest in Amsterdam and midway through Mikes run the announcers asked for the Nike TM to make his way to the street course and give their rider a package. And then proceeded to take the piss out of Mikes shoes for the entire run.
That sucked.

Yeah, but also I don’t think they were SBs, even though he rode for them. More like running shoes. And the laces were done up really tight.
I mean, they weren’t pretty…but when someone is mid-run, thats pretty fucking lame.

On the subject of Mike Wright, I still think he could have been huge had he wanted to and got onto a company that knew what to do with him.
He should have been a lot more successful than a certain other skater from Bath.
