Instagram Blowouts

This is exactly why Rattray is one of the best of all time.

Video days will always be my favourite video because it’s the first one I got. It’ll always be the one I go back to. I got it when I was 10 or 11, I’m 38 and it’s still full of shit that inspires me and makes me want to go out and learn new shit. #coolguy

They don’t give a fuck about us.

Lordz video was./ is excellent, but groundbreaking though?
You’re going to have to work hard to convince people.

Groundbreaking for Europe. Was meant to make the US stand up and pay attention right? Not sure how much of that it achieved

Puzzle. Euro 411.
Some time ahead of Lordz vid.
Don’t get me wrong, tdgafau is one of my favourite vids.

I’d say that this was really the ground breaker for Europe.
TDGAFAU has amazing skating but the editing did me in.

Good call that.
Editing didn’t bother me in Lordz.
Thought the whole thing was nicely put together.

Fuck that Lordz video is my favourite video of all time. I explicitly remember the first time watching it.

Typing this on a night shift … Mind field has great parts (especially Omar Salazar) but there are better sovereign sect videos. My issue with video days is that I was too young to appreciate it when it was released and it now looks dated. I won’t be able to appreciate it for how original it truly was. I’m of the age where the early 2000s vids felt raw when they came out and shone a light on the European scene. Maybe they look dated now too … Europa and puzzle are great also

Is that the one with Severin Von Ow?

Yeah, I don’t get why Mindfield is so regarded. Well, I do, The job is done great but loads of parts should have been pulled for it to be top drawer.
Europa is amazing, really highlighted how good non mericans were, Lordz vid too, amazing. Bon Appetit is the one though. Love it.

I agree re. Mindfield. Slightly overlong, especially if we’re talking about all-time great status. Still an amazing vid, though.
Bon Appetit (which could well be the same length as Mindfield for all I know) worked so well partly cos of those country-specific montages and the use of shared sections. Kept it interesting! Music choices all varied and on point. Plus obviously Jan Kliewer and Lucas!

Nope, that was Cliche’s Europa from 2000 (3 years before TDGAFAU) which made the US take note, mainly as WFTW and especially Menikmati came out around the same time with many similar spots. Europa was full of unknowns, aside from Jeremie Daclin and Pontus Alv.

EuropA, the video, not Europe the continent!

oh yeah haha. My bad, reading fail

Man my dates are all over the shop. Clearly I need some kind of skateboard video timeline wall chart

Served that guy in SS20. The lead guy. Said it was the final countdown when he put his pin in.

Not stoked.
