I thought/hoped Louie was teasing a guest MJ enjoi board not that long ago too. When the company came back. The timeline seems to fit with them hanging out again. I always thought a guest board on Sci Fantasy would have been cool too, given their shared history as longtime friends and being on enjoi and chocolate. Jerry and Louie must be feeling truly devastated right now. RIP

Profoundly sad news. Instant flashback to watching Hot Chocolate before skating a car park in Lakais and brown corduroy as a teenager. Him saying stuff like “if you can think of it, you can do it” and talking about how it’s all in the mind made his stuff, however high level, relatable to whatever you were battling with even though his tech stuff was a million miles away from whatever I was pratting about trying to learn round the the back of Morrisons after school.

This one’s knocked me for 6. Always harboured a hope that he would return one day and reading what Louie said about what he wrote about his future plans it seems he might have been contemplating it, before deciding otherwise. So sad.
By far in first place as the skater I’ve revisited parts the most. Always been in awe of his balletic grace, not to mention insane levels of progression.

Truly awful.
Everything that happened around him getting on adidas didn’t feel great from anyone involved really. Felt a mess after it was made public and the knock on effect with his career has been incredibly sad to see. Deserved to be riding that wave as a thank you for everything he has done on a skateboard. Truly hope he’s a peace now.
I’ve been thinking how nuts it is that you say MJ to any skater and they instinctively think of Marc, not Michael Jackson or Michael Jordan. I think that speaks volumes for his impact.

I got back into skating after a hiatus of a few years and Fully Flared was the first vid I watched to get back into what was going on. His part blew me away and I was so stoked on getting back into it. So sad to hear the news.
Agreed on that; it should’ve been like Koston getting on Nike, a few pro shoes at the level of his Emerica models and just filming whatever for a good few years. As it is, it’s just an awful chapter of his career and the start of total decline as Barletta said in that post.
It’s a real shame.
