There’s a world where Fully Flared was three videos spread over a few years and there’s a world where we got a low impact/curb skating renaissance for the last 5+ years from Marc Johnson. Both would have been preferable to what actually happened.

I was thinking about the last time something happened in skating that impacted me and made me stop, think and seek motivation. It sucks that bad things have to happen for these moments to spark.
Anyway, I remember when Cardiel got injured and then watching his epicly laterd and that g-turn ad. Just thinking of that stuff made me push myself harder to achieve things.

I saw MJ skate with all the others at the Beware of the Flare demo at PlayStation when he’d literally just joined Lakai, it was pretty magical as he was possibly at the peak of his powers and doing all the stuff you’d hope him to in beige cords and a striped jumper.
A perfect encounter I’d say.
