Hello. There’s going to be a new park near me and they have a survey for what people want in it. So that I don’t get 8ft deep bowls and random floor tits and jump boxes can you please beg them for a plaza style park? > **[Caldicot Skatepark Survey](https://www.letstalkmonmouthshire.co.uk/caldicot-skatepark-survey)** > > Help shape a new skatepark in Caldicot, Monmouthshire. In the open boxes earlier I’ve begged them to avoid having clover shaped bows, if there is a mini ramp to make it under 4 foot and as wide as possible with no roll ins or extensions, no spines, no jump boxes, no stairs bigger than a small 3, no huge down rails, no big steep hubbas, and no knee high and above ledges. It’s going to be a Maverick park so found a few things they do and asked them not to do that here (like adding [rails to the grinding edges of manual pads???).](https://www.maverickskateparks.co.uk/chinnor) If you can think of a good maverick design (or just good bits of a park) then add that in. I just stressed having banks, hips, varying height ledges, nice gaps etc would make it easy to session day in day out and to avoid dead space that is expensive to put in (big steep bowls, big stairsets etc), take up a lot of room but look good on plans but don’t actually get touched 99.99% of the time in real life. Best Example. Dude at Maverick was glazing the shit out of himself for building a channel gap. We were like, who the fuck is gonna skate it? Plus you have to snake through the whole park and land in a warzone of cross over lines. He tried to cool guy us and be like it’s eazy, it’s skateboarding 101. Stopped the whole park, point exactly. Made an announcement he was going for the channel gap and ate complete horse shit. Dude was pretty much in tears. Well done mate, not only did you prove us right, you looked like a bell and you ate complete shit. They wouldn’t have half the parks if they didn’t give out backhanders, allegedly. ---
