no, because it’s a ‘carve’ rather than a ‘grind’ - double axle carve is terminology from the original era.

I stand corrected, is there such a thing as single carve?

single axle carve would be a carve where only 1 axle is touching the coping so yeah - probably what you’d call a scratch grind

It’s all about body weight. In a double axle carve you’re fully in the bowl, carving fast and high. In a 50-50 you shift your weight up so you’re almost standing on the coping, almost doing an axle stall
