I could easily get side tracked in to trying this.
I’ve been trying to justify it for a long time and one of the plus points for me would be to use it for good (eg, trying to make obsolete bits for my van) rather than bad (fidget toys and elastic band guns).
It’s amazing. No regrets.. although the first bit of junk mail from the company I got it from was for a Black Friday deal where they will be £50 cheaper.
I’ve emailed them to express my disappointment in the timing in the hope they might offer me a voucher or something.
Was gonna go skating tonight but we had this really weird storm early afternoon. A little later my mate rang saying the park was flooded and asked if I could pop over to help. Finished off my work and popped over, but it was mostly sorted by then. Just helped with the remaining clean up best I could and just chatted skateboarding for a few hours whilst doing so.
A little bit, mainly in the seating area and office as there is a drain just by the entrance to the park which takes the feed from between the sloped and flat roof. So the downpour just completely overwhelmed it. They got some wet vacs so by the time I got there after work there was just the bits on the side run between the office and main skate park where water was still coming out from under neath. By the time I left just after 9 it was mostly dealt with.
The office got it pretty bad and there was a bit of water in the new cafe area that they’re having built for the parents
Anyone had one of those sessions where you’re skating way above your usual level and some tricks just seem to floe or pop better than expected? I remember sliding some decent high and fast fs noseslides on a friend’s diy ledge. It was sick.
