There has never been a better shoe at doing this than the all black leather Emerica Spanky pro model from 2011 or so? @franc didn’t you get some for your dad to wear to church or am I fever dreaming that?
Either way I regret not getting some at the time to keep and use as office shoes today.
Well, my father died in 2010 and we were the last people on the continent that would go to church but I might have worn those Spankys at his funeral. Can’t remember.

Airwalk almost tempted me with the One reissues a few years back (probably more than I’m thinking).

I remember wanting a pair before I’d started skating and by that point only people who didn’t skate wore them.
Whichever company it was that utterly ripped off the Jason Lee shoe seemed to do a really good job, annoyingly.

Saw them on to many students who had bought their first ‘how to look alternative uniforms’ and on the racks next to No Fear trainers in Sports District to ever be taken seriously again for me.
