Yeah just that he unfortunately has that vain meat head energy about it, every town has them, that go around in beaters or tops off completely at the first sign of sun, acting like they’re gods gift and hard as nails.
Let Teenwolf roar man.
Shitty sponsors, divorce, usual shit. Respect to Joslin.
Yeah, respect and all that but he really leans into that blue collar, all American country cliché.
I think most top tier pros are doing training like this, it’s just the he posted it on insta
Tell you something, if I can extend my time skating and in order to do so have to do things like this, I think I’m in.
That’s some serious core training. I didnt spot the balance board.
As Mark says, so many pros are training like this these days. It’s no secret it helps longevity and prevent injury. For someone like joslin who has been badly injured and continues to take massive drops, this is mandatory.
In case no one knew, a phelper favourite justin figgy figueroa is a triathlete in his free time. Speedos and swim caps are so hellride.
god I hate the whole hellride skate and destroy schtick.
I think I first saw something like this years back, maybe turn of the century, think it was in a DC video or something, maybe Dyrdek or McKay? Memory fails. Think they were standing on a balance board or a big ball or something whilst someone chucked balls at them and they were catching them, to improve reflexes I assume.
2 things made be laugh about this. 1 - he’s training in those shitty Lakais (I mean just but a decent set of trainers to work out in) and 2 - there is an inflatable snow man peaking out behind him.
For context here I was just being a shithouse for being a shithouse sake in my first post… The second one however did actually make me laugh out loud. Joslin is undeniable though, forget about El Toro that double in Brum he tre’d is batshit crazy!
Nice to see yet another SOTY on Lakai…
Wasn’t that an adidas advert?
I chatted with him a couple of years ago (the day he did the tre in Brum) and he was on about how he’d piled out after surgery/further injuries in 2020 and had basically got pretty fat - he said he’d been genuinely worried about being able to provide for his kids and was determined to get fit again.
Can’t fault him for that.
Yeah, he wasn’t my pick but I am hyped for him as he’s clearly put in the work. I used to walk past that Brum double set every day on my way to works, it was rough as shit and a total bust so god knows how he did that.
Pretty sure that’s a piss take, no?
I thought it was tongue in cheek at the time.
He also heel flipped the MK Holiday Inn double set in 2 tries.
I guarantee everyone on this forum will be able to do that.
Now, replace the board he’s on to an actual deck and watch the fun unfold!
Really like this angle.
I wish there was an angle without Atiba stood in the fucking shot with a bright yellow tshirt on. But then again, he is the photographer who gave himself a bright orange colour way.
If Sheckler actually did BS Flip it and not tell a porky that time, would we have given him skater of the year?
