I just finished a massive project for a consulting firm based out there and there is a lot of future opportunities so we’ve dropped hints throughout and then said ā€œlets meet in person to discussā€ but will need to get sign off for the journey. Not a dead cert but worth a shot and Im obviously not passing it up. Will keep the Australian arm of the forum updated on my globetrotting

you’ll have to make a side-mission to Sydney as well just so that we can make a noise in Snurp’s synth lair.

Saw Turnstile last night and I haven’t been in a pit like that for years. At 38 i’m generally a stand at the back and nod with a pint person. I broke my glasses, got punched in the head, and some girl who was crowd surfing sliced my neck and drew blood when she fell off next to me.

All that sounds like it should be in not stoked, but it was too much fun. Was with a friend who’s going through a messy divorce so think it was also a good release of negative energy for him which was good to see.

Duh, you big thicko, he’s obviously talking about the Brand New Heavies ā€˜Heavy Rhyme Experience’, the 1992 album which featured the London-based acid-jazzers providing the musical backing for a gathering of some of hip hop’s finest emcees, like Guru, The Pharcyde, Masta Ace, Grand Puba, Black Sheep, Kool G Rap and more. It was a one-off cultural event that shook the worlds of hip hop and funk/soul, and arguably the finest thing that BNH produced. I think he’s got the cassette and is going to play it in his car while doing laps of the ring road.
