Tampa Pro live

Un boucher habillé comme Bobby Puleo

I watched a bit live with her indoors - like the Japanese Zero guy…Kairi?
Very low frequency commentary although live streaming accentuates the monotony I think.

“A beautiful frontside flip from an Olympian.”

Dakota Servold being in it was sick.

Fuck me. That one Sora Shirai run.

Fixed that for you.

Not watched much at all. Saw the best trick and that’s it…been a bit short of time whilst not skating this weekend as it is my wife’s 44th birthday today.

Thanks Mike.

This whole thing just seems lacking something that was really great before or something I dunno. Maybe today will be better.

Haha, you’re welcome. One of my stranger posts I’ll admit.

Seen bits and bobs, course looks decent, will catch a condensed highlights video if one appears. I do think the footage bombardment that the internet has brought has numbed/muted a lot of skateboarding for me. But that’s just me. Whatever. Go skate.

Semi-finals just started. A lot of Brazilian park rats so far. Meh.

Jake Wooten just did some cool tricks but he has black wheels and red shoes.

I don’t know much about Eli Williams, only see him at the Tampa comp but he’s always fun to watch and that kickflip front lip was splendid.

I saw that Columbian geezer moaning at the start of his run cause apparently a kid got in the way so they let him restart his run. That sort of summed it up for me. Taken way to seriously and no real soul in it.

Wife walked in and asked if she could put celebrity catchphrase on the telly and I said yes - that alone sums up my take on it.

Yeah don’t know if it’s the course or the skaters or the energy not translating but it’s been a bit dull. Hopefully the finals creates a bit of energy.

The best Tampa’s of recent memory have been the most fun when there’s been some sort of rivalry - Nyjah v Yuto, Luan v Shane etc.

Yuto in a Red Bull hat is a bit of a shame. Wonder what Supreme make of that.

Do you think the recent years of anyone can be pro has actually started to water down the talent that ends up there? There is a massive gulf in talent out there that you really notice when some established pros get on the course to the ten guys before.

Looks like he’s of Supreme on LV.
