Can’t pretend like I function at anything I do anywhere near how he plays snooker. However I certainly can relate to the unrelenting pressure that you can put on yourself. Blokes an absolute genius.
He was also born in Wordsley hospital the same one as myself, clearly that Black Country air on birth helped him somewhere haha

I really enjoyed it. Definitely stick with it, once the story gets going it gets really fun.
On the topic of Apple TV shows, I gave For All Mankind a go and like you, didn’t really to the the first episode, it seemed too talky. But I’m so glad I stuck with it, it’s become one of my favourite programs of the past few years, it’s really grabbed me - think I finished season 3 in about 3 days. Definitely worth a shot as well.

Just the whole premise is totally implausible to me. As if there would be a group of MI5 failures that are banished to some dilapidated 60’s office block. The script was also really bad, and it’s not saved by Gary Oldman’s repeated farts. The missus wants to keep going so I’ll probably stick it out for a bit longer.

Started the squid game game show on Netflix, fuck me it’s just an even worse series big brother with a squid game squeezed in . The sets and games are bang on but I couldn’t get past the second episode for the absolute cringe reality tv mass ego content .
Such a shame , could have been so much better.

The books are better, but the show picks up eventually, but its all relatively implausible and that doesn’t go away.

Yeah and it’s exactly what the producers and execs (most of which are from the UK ) wanted unfortunately, they worked on big brother , love island and most of the UK reality tv shows . That’s why they had those side challenges to get rid of other players .
All to stoke drama, gossip and backstabbing content .
A real waste of a show

He was really good in the latest series of The Morning Show and his cameos in Toast of London annd Curb Your Enthusiasm were incredible.
