A mate recommended Kin on iplayer. Irish gangland stuff. Made me think of Love / Hateā€¦ If you havenā€™t seen it I canā€™t recommend it highly enough. Aiden Gillan, Charlie Murphy, Killian Scott, Brian Gleason, Barry Keoghanā€¦ And Robert Sheehan. Not sure how I forgot him. ---

Massively hungover today. Didnā€™t leave the sofa. Binged a series called ā€˜Fool Me Onceā€™ which we knew was utter shit within the first few minutes but we decided to stick with it as it didnā€™t take much brain power. Absolutely shocking series. Bad acting. Bad writing. Donā€™t waste your time. ---

Finished ā€œThe Crownā€ last night. Not a fan of the royals one bit so itā€™s a bit of hate viewing on my part. But they finished it up well without the usual ā€œshe deadā€ tropes of a clock stopping, a glass being dropped, someone getting a chill like something was wrong, that sort of nonsense. Pretty sure the writers had Chuck prodding them in the back to make him and Camilla come across as more likeable ---

Iā€™m not a fan of the Royals one bit and the final season was the weakest for sureā€¦but I feel like the writers were also not fans. Some really harsh stuff in thereā€¦ ---

New series of True Detective coming out soon in Jan. Jodie Foster as the lead too, so hopefully itā€™ll be good. The first series was great. ---

Unpopular opinion but I enjoyed the second series. It had one too many characters and it lacked that implied spookiness of the first series, but the characters had good story arcs. ---

When it first came out you couldnā€™t pay me to watch it because it looked so fucking shit (and it is in a lot of ways) but it was probably my favourite show of last year. Itā€™s just a great premise. I think itā€™s going to be a bit like Big Brother (nearly 25 years ago!) where the very first people didnā€™t have a clue how it was going to work so that was the best series. Not sure how this one will go down. It is looking promising though. Edit: i have written the same post 1 year apart.
