The remaster of it that’s on BFI now is so good. It’s such an achievement that film. Absolutely beautifully romantic at the same time as being so brutal. So well shot. Oldman is a hero for it
I challenge anyone who hasn’t watched it for years to give it a whirl now and see it’s actually so beautifully done. It’s a very empathetic film. Burke is immense
