TOTM Sep/Oct '24 - NBDs

I’d advise you to approach the ledge at a 30ish degree angle and do a straight nollie into the crooked grind, then when you’ll sit on the crooks it’ll lock in well. Hopefully this makes sense.

That’s kind of what I do for the noseslides to be honest, cheers though

Lets see 'em.

15 days left.

My six year got his first drop in so I’m putting it here (I’ll still get my own tricks he’s not my proxy skater)

I’ve submitted a backtail and front blunt recently before but never in a line…so might count? Neither were very good so dumping here.

Still stoked I got these back to back even if they’re both sketch.

That front blunt was proper! Stoked on the Willy Santos flip too. Good work mate.

I tried to get something today but had brought the wrong setup, filmer wheels definitely aren’t what I’d recommend for ledge combos, haha.

Might….might….head over to Nantwich after dropping my
Daughter off at school. Probably won’t be able to do shit though, been off too long :pensive:

Honey, I got 2 backup clips of NBDs that I learnt in 3 minutes that aren’t very interesting but are NBDs nonetheless. I’ll post them later if I can’t get anything better. I tried to learn this last Friday, landed it at least 20 times but never clean, then my phone battery died. :man_shrugging:t4:
I’ve been feeling weird for weeks now, Covid or fuck knows what. Seeing my GP this afternoon, hopefully she’ll find something that will fix me.

man i feel that lookback at the camera and shrug so hard  when you’re just like “argh sort of but not quite” that’s 90% of my tricks

Ah mate. I wanted to do it proper, with some sort of full cab out but 270s out of slides were never one of my strengths. I realized that doing a 180 out and pivoting the last 90 degrees or something would make it easier and I got really close but my battery died.
I skated for over an hour during my lunch break that day then later took my grind box out, skated for a bit then tried this for like an hour. Had sore legs for 3 days after that. Good work me.

ah you’ll get it sooner or later. if i don’t get the tricks i particularly want for this month’s TOTM i’ve made more progress on them than i have in a fair while so i’m stoked either way

hope you feel better mate

Yeah of course I will, I just don’t want to spend another hour on it now but I’ll have to, I’ve tried it too much, can’t have done all that for nothing in the end.

I’ll be fine, thanks for the support. Must be the combination of a shitty virus and working too much lately.

That’s ace!

I was thinking of trying back boardslide to fakie f/s 50-50 (been close but never landed) at the local but not sure if I have it in me now - spent most of this year off with injuries. Getting old innit….

Thanks man!

Of course you have it in you. Do it going really slowly first then once you feel confident do it like you’re at the Dime Glory Challenge.

When I’m in the nursing home, on a respirator completely non responsive to my friends and family if I’m ever presented with a photo of a mountain and a trucker hat I’m sure I’ll burst into life and croakily repeat ‘Francois! Francois!’

Trucker and beautiful mountains are synonymous with frank clips

@Les_Zeppelin very nice front blunt!
