I should ask my dad, he is one of the area lead walkers for the ramblers, he must know of all the apps

Had a little owl right in front of me today! Didn’t realise they were about during the day. As soon as it spotted me it made a beeline for the closest tree. Determined to get a (most likely) terrible photo of it now

Weird how these things go, I’m sure that I never saw a wild owl until about four years ago and since then I’ve seen another three.

Just seen a green woodpecker out

Having a few of these pop up in the garden. Pretty sure they are the pinky hawkmoths

I drove down the coast when I was in California and saw a lot of Steller’s jays in Big Sur. They are amazing. (pic not by me)

The northern elephant seals were lovely too.

Bringing this back since spring is around the corner and i enjoy reading everyone’s nature spottings. Saw my first tree creeper of the season and a couple of gold crests in the woods close to me. Buzzin’

Spotted nature in my place when I got back home tonight.

Seriously, it’s been kinda warm here lately which totally got me looking forward to spring! Can’t wait for that first skate in shorts and a hoodie.
