Yeah Rattray part is great and an all time classic, just went back and rewatched them both now. Rattray skates rails and gaps for sure but his part also is much more ‘ATV’ than Smithys.

The Smithy part is nearly all straight up gnarly hucks and big rails, of course people were doing that before but this just felt like an influential gnarly part in the sense that he was a kid kinda coming out of nowhere skating a lot of UK crust all with the production values of the big US vids that came out at the time.

It isn’t about being the ‘best’ in the video just think that was a landmark part in terms of rail/gap/stair skating for a lot of people

Grove and Frank in the sidewalk video was pretty heavy and it came out before.

Not saying you’re wrong but to me it was a very weird choice.

Smithy will always be one of the gnarliest UK skaters and so I’m not saying you don’t have a point.
