Started skateboarding in 1974, same year as I started surfing.
Lived in Southport at the time.
First ones to skate on ‘the prom’
Formed the Charger team with Marcus Tinsley, made lots of decks and sold them locally.
I discovered Edge Lane in Liverpool about ‘76 when it was a kids playground but a cool bowl, just had to avoid the metal ladders!,
Won a few freestyle events round the NW, but when I dislocated my shoulder at Wigan it was time to slow down. Five more dislocations and I stopped skating, had an op, moved to Abersoch and stuck to surfing.

Now live in France and at 68 have just bought a skateboard for cruising.
