Tell me about it, the footage on those small transitions in the intro of this section is sacred stuff.

One of my favourite sections from one of my favourite skate flicks. :smoking:

Rob Maatman is so underrated.
One of those guys who finds original, unique spots and always seems to have the right trick for it, à la Gustav. Naturally stylish too. I’m such a fan.

Just watched these two sections and didn’t know which one I preferred so I’ll post both.
The ledge bluntslide at 1:20 in the first one is sublime.

Couldn’t agree more. He and Eniz have been my favourite Euro skaters during the last 10 years or so. They might not have the ‘big’ personalities of a Doobie, so maybe go under the radar, but both are brilliant street skaters.

Tell you what, not being Doobie is definitely part of what makes Maatman and Eniz as fantastic as they are.

I’ve probably already posted this a few times but seeing Elissa and BA at Fort Miley in that new Smile interview reminded me of this clip which always makes me happy so here it is (again).

That back 5-0 / tail around 2 mins in is chef’s kiss. Need to practice those

Been rewatching this video part from Wainwright recently. So underrated. It literally has everything, rails, tranny, flips down big stairs, and my personal favourite, the back tail flip out on that out ledge in Bristol. That goes by so quick, like it’s a throw away trick, but when Smolik did the same trick on a similar ledge that same year in Fulfill the Dream, they slowmo’d that shit and played the Rocky theme while the whole Shortys team went nuts (just saying). Also, not forgetting the Skitz soundtrack. Classic!

Love how a lot of it is filmed long lens.

That fs nollie, fakie flip line is a favourite. Along with the one foot.

Super casual, just thrown in there.

Not to mention switch 360 to front board on an handrail.

I haven’t filmed a handrail clip for years. It makes me nervous even thinking about filming handrail tricks. Then on a trip last week my friend decided to drop this move on me :joy:

I can kind of see how that trick works, you whip a quick switch front 180 then catch a little front board at the end but still… fuck.

The Rizzo appreciation in the Epicly Later’d thread has got me hyped to revisit the bronze 56k videos. I might even get my hard copies out for the full experience.

How’s it been ten years since Trust came out?
