What an absolute work of art.

Deffo knows how to use a fisheye and edit.
Graphic direction was great, too.
Wheatley has really done a good job of filming and editing a modern skate video. The interview gives some insight but something that really shows how weak a lot of modern full lengths and general skate videos in comparison is how Wheatley deliberately gives title credits to the new SMS no one’s heard of, yet leaves the big names title less yet listed in the credits.
He also did a better job than Don Luong/EdT in the last Toy video with the humorous blurbing.
Is one nod to the track Sky Brown’s skated to during her run at the Olympics?
Not watched any skate stuff for a bit but this did the job.
Absolutely banging video. Felt like a breath of fresh air in a very crowded space. Anything with MBJ is already starting from a good place, but it was all so, so good.

So that kid with the gegs Mingus Gamble, is the son of the guy who edited Mouse, right? (along with Rick Howard obviously).
Mental lineage if so: Johannes Gamble did lots of the type faces, animations and design for all the best Girl/Choc stuff. Not 100% but I think he made the infamous Gino and Keenan basketball ink blot title in Mouse too. If so, did Mingus’ dad do the SFX for that bit where the bench suddenly grows a spine too?
Anybody know?
