That brief synopsis is just Extras/when the whistle blows meets Romesh Ranganathan’s just another immigrant, no?
Wonder if this advert is any indication of what the TV show will look like?
Blondey’s had a stab at some GCSE photography. Fair play.

Isn’t he friends with Damien Hirst? Hirst’s ‘Secret Garden’ series…
What’s this? A friend of Damien Hirst, thinking it’s alright to plagiarise another artist whose art gets less exposure? Say it ain’t so!
who’s work is that?
Ah!
Just wanted to make sure before I admit to quite liking them ha!
Lolz.
I’ll admit to being baffled by the whole Thames thing and Thomas’s art status tbh.
Obviously I’m pretty much the polar opposite of the intended audience for either but if I had to describe either phenomenon I’d probably say ‘derivative’.
Does it matter? Is there anything vaguely original about pasting cutouts over a photo
Laughs in Gerald Croft’s voice.
GCSE lolz
I’m gonna elaborate on this because… absolutely no reason other than I think it’s important for me to eject it out of my head so I can move on with my day and erase the image of the rose “art”.
What is important to me with art is very contradictory (this includes music). The effort & the execution is very important, the reasoning and the concept, usually I could care less unless the piece is also visually immersive. The one thing that overides anything is… does it look good? If so then I don’t care how it was done. This is true of the Blindollie stuff above. They are aesthetically pleasing, there is more thought into the visual result over concept (as I have no idea on the concept if there is one). On the face of it, there is literally no difference in the effort between Blondey’s and Blindollies work shown here but aesthically the difference is Massive.
Blindollies looks cool and I care none about the effort but Blondey’s looks like shit so I feel I have opinion on the amount of effort to get there.
Personally I think Blondey has no eye for art, just the opportunity and contacts to exercise dabbling in it. And sadly, that’s what you need to actually be in a position to exhibit while you’re alive.
Disclaimer: I don’t actually believe that last bit completely, there are plenty of talented people making it.
Absolute pointless and obvious drivel.
It feels like Blondey has picked his passions to be marketable. Twee British symbolism. It’s like pop culture art with no pop culture reference. It’s more Cath Kidston than Andy Warhol.
It’s more Castle fine art!
Art for meathead thickos that made money in the building trade so fill their houses with the most cheap looking oppulence you can buy. Glass topped greek plinth coffee tables on very very white furry rug etc!
It feels like he is trying to be everything at once. Seeing what hits and what doesn’t. If you have a real passion for something you spend time on it first, honing your skill.
It gives me massive Brooklyn Beckham vibes, I’m going to be a footballer, no now I’m a photographer, wait I think my passion is being a chef!
I quite like some of the Thames decks and his podcast was quite funny at times but the clothing is lost on me, no idea who buys it but I suppose someone must do.
Many hobbies, master of none springs to mind
Head of brand I used to work with always used to roll his eyes and mutter that under his breath hahaha
Also, refused to use any colour pen other than black ink. The pen could look fucking ridiculous, as long as the ink was black
Easy when you’ve grown up loaded tbf
