Exactly that. The trucks wont be the greatest, but considerably better than what you have currently I would expect.
Another way to think about it is to get some nice gear rather than budget stuff and then just sell if you don’t keep skating. You won’t lose that much on it.

Skated the picture wheel company trucks last night for the second time and not noticing a huge difference from normal Thunders. They’re pretty much an exact copy apart from the bottom bushing is a different shape. I wanted wider trucks but am on a budget and they’re really solid. The wheels are not the quality of formula fours but I like the shape and how white they are.

Those picture wheel company trucks and wheels, swap out the bearings, add a death deck for £40 or slam will have other decks on sale
