Surprised it’s not had a problem already so you could out of it.

I’m not sure the new ones are prone to problems. Pretty solid. It’s nice to drive.

Drinks petrol though.

Typical, you only bought a reliable one.

That is THE AMG colour too.

They are still very much prone from what I’ve heard.

Fired the mini up the other day. First time I started it since I rebuilt the carb, and added new vaccum take offs. Seems to be working, although the mixture needs tweaked and idle adjusting. The high idle was due to me putting the throttle return springs on the wrong way round. I’ve getting the tracking etc set up this weekend, then hopefully I can book a rolling road session.

Brother in law is an architect and has just ordered a Polestar. Now Saab have left us I feel that he had no choice.

I’d go electric but there’s no way I could afford it. Something big enough would be 50k. The novelty needs to wear off and they need to stop being 600hp and have enough torque to reverse the spin of the earth.

When does that stupid truck come out?

It’s nuts though. There was a post on twitter the other day about school runs in nice areas being a gauntlet of 3 ton SUVs with a thousand horsepower. Terrifying.

It’s only because it’s really trivial to have that kind of power compared to all the ludicrous crap it takes to make combustion engines fast. You also don’t particularly have to trade it for efficiency. There’s plenty more mainstream cars from VW etc.

Would love an electric car but we often have a 4 hour trip to our sumer house, sometimes every weekend. No electric car carrying 2 kids and 2 adults full of kit will go that far without making you sweat towards the end, surely

(Edit, we do have a hybrid RAV4 though, and that’s boring and fine and whatever)

Probably not. You’d have to make it a four and a half hour trip with a break somewhere.

You can pre-order one now :man_facepalming:

Right but you can watch netflix on the dashboard whilst it’s charging for 30 minutes.

Just got ride of the Range Rover and lost £1400.

Feels like a win.

Carless until we pick an electric model.

Well expensive but that is wife’s fav.

Push the boat out a bit :+1:

Polestar is actually within budget but doesn’t arrive until September.

Am going to get a model 3 from stock as it’s the best and quickest.
