I can appreciate it from a technical perspective but at the same time I can’t help finding it all quite scary and depressing.

It’s way less scary when you think of applications for it. I’ve been using it at work quite a lot recently to automate all the boring shit. I waste so much of my time working on sales slides or adding boilerplate filler text into documents when I want to be building shit. I’ve started using ChatGPT to speed it up so I can focus on the cool stuff. It’s amazing for those times when you’re staring at a blank document and can’t quite get yourself typing, you can generate a skeleton of what you want to achieve and take it from there.
There’s also a cool extension for VS Code where you can use it to debug or write code for you. That’s pretty neat.
Basically, if you use it for small tasks, it’s a really useful tool. I think people should give it a try if they haven’t already.

I’ve been trying to get it to write me google sheet scripts for this crazy spreadsheet I’m working on for quite a few days now and it’s just not working.
Everything it gives me looks like it should work but I think the problem is me rather than chatGPT.
It’s the first time it’s let me down but it’s still helping me with all my more complex formulas. Feels so good to not have to think.

What I’m trying to do is build a full PPC campaign budget builder.
I want to assign budgets to ad platforms, objectives, audiences, languages and platforms.
It sounds easy but it gets complex as fuck…fast.
I will warn you that this will be a massive timesink for you but if you fancy taking a look that would be great!
I’m thinking this needs to be done through some sort of bespoke software set up rather than a spreadsheet because I’ve wasted way too much time on it already.

I just compared ChatGPT responses to DAN responses.
The ‘classic’ responses aren’t proper ChatGPT. Its a nice thought that it is jailbroken - but it’s just a game.

For me, social media being dead isn’t an awful thing at all. I don’t feel 99% of what I see is real anyway. It’s either touched up, filtered, scripted, faked, whatever. It’s reels, clips, photos that are designed to gain attention. If it was made by AI it wouldn’t really change much
