Toying with the idea of going to this Halloween Jam at the Loading Bay on Saturday. Thought I’d ask the forum for advice.
Am staying on Arran right now. Thinking of going to skate Glasgow for 2 or 3 days. Maybe go to this on the Saturday then come back here Sunday.
Has anyone been to one of these before ? Worth making the effort ? Never been Loading Bay before. Was already sort of planning to go to Glasgow on Thursday doing something like skate the Arches in the morning when its meant to be dry, maybe Kelvingrove or something and visit Clan. Then go skate Loading Bay in the afternoon. Stay overnight somewhere then Transport the next day street or whatever somewhere. Was thinking kingston DIY but I think its closed ? Think weathers not meant to be great.
Would it be worth my while staying an extra day to go to this ?
Kingston is back open, I believe (not been since it was reopened but, on Insta, it looks like some people have been skating there).
My advice is, it will likely be wet for a lot of your trip! Glasgow weather is unpredictable. If there is a dry window, Kelvingrove or Transport are your best bets for someplace dry. You might get sick of the Loading Bay if you’re spending 2-3 days skating it! But there is also an indoor in Dumbarton called Unit 23 which looks fun.
