Concrete Reality (architecture &/or skateboarding)

Yep, that photo was the same session as the shoulder pop.

Banging photo, quality captioning.

For sure. The symmetry is dope, and I love how the mosaic tiles converge with the fisheye’s barrel distortion. The tiles kept popping up making life difficult for Mr Allen there. Took some work to make it IIRC.

Is this the guy that grunts and looks like he’s in a motorbike gang?

If so that was the nutter I skated it with hahahaha.

Yeah, that’s the guy. He gets so into a session that he’ll grunt and growl even whilst watching other people skate. He’s definitely 100% skateboarder.

This might have been posted before but if not, worth a watch - a 1981 film about Meanwhile Gardens

No skating but some BMX footage & strong early 80s London fashions on show

Carlsberg don’t do factories etc. etc.

Is there any footage from here? Solon Estate in Clapham, looks familiar but can’t place it

Yeah, Harry Lintell does a couple of tricks down it opening his Cover Version part.

Chris Jones does a line running up the stairs, too.

Quite a few people have hit it over the years.

Will Harmon and a bunch of others have had footage (This Time Tomorrow?) on the bank bit next to it.
