The video title is self explanatory. They do, in fact, ride the world’s biggest bowl.

LA COPA DEL SOL - | TEOPA BEACH

‘’ Gian Franco Brignone, the founder of Costa Careyes, dreamt of a man and a woman united by the cosmos while bathed in the light of the setting sun. In 2006, the manifestations of his dream were created. Majestically perched on a cliff overlooking Playa Teopa, La Copa del Sol, which represents the woman, rises 35 feet from its base and is over 88 feet in diameter. Equally an acoustic and visual marvel, it catches and cups the sun.’’

Love it!

What impact does architecture and design have on skateboarding? How does skateboarding impact architecture? Can we picture a world where the many conflicts and complexities of creation and destruction, on both sides, can be harmoniously reconciled? “Creative Destruction” interrogates these issues in a panel about architecture and skateboarding. Hosted by Ted Barrow with special guests Mike Barker, Chris Giamarino, Shane Yee, and Bobby King.

Just found this pic while searching for something else. I grew up skating in Burnley in the 80s and early 90s, they used to drain the fountain in the centre (that round thing in the pic) once a year to clean it or something, so for one or two Sundays a year it was THE BEST SPOT EVER. The rest of the year you’d just look at it and wait…
It’s long gone now btw
