I wasn’t sure if should put baby corn in an omelette earlier and nearly hopped in here to ask @Bish.
Made the executive decision to go for it anyway and it didn’t seem out of place.
Big fan of added corn.
This picture probably ain’t all that but I quite liked my dinner.
Made this salad with Chinese leaf lettuce, pickled ginger, diced pork neck and red onions sautéed in soy sauce and added a sunny side up egg on top. Lime juice, samba oelek, white wine vinegar and sunflower oil for the dressing. Black pepper, black sesame seeds, mint from my garden and fried garlic to top it off.
Took me less than 10 minutes to make it and it made up for a very average day.
That looks banging. I just had fish and chips with my folks lol. Been meaning to do more cooking, might have another go at a Spanish omelette.

I had fish and chips on my own, by the lake, with a cup of tea last Sunday. The weather was pretty bad, it was windy and cold, it was about to rain but I had a good kit on (puffa jacket in April, damn), there was no one else around, everything felt super comfortable, I loooved that moment.
Made this the other day, served with tarragon roast potatoes and broccoli. Apols for the wanky Insta reel but didn’t take any pictures, and it’s what I got the inspiration from.
Put the asparagus stalks in the sauce as shown but kept the tops separate and fried them off in butter and put them on top of everything. My piss absolutely stank of rotten lawn mowings for about 2 days after but it’s honestly one of the best things I’ve ever cooked.

Making a surf and turf tartare tonight, never done that before, not sure how I’m gonna season it yet.
Poached egg and avocado wrapped in bacon with honey, soy sauce and lime glaze.
My girlfriend sent me a recipe for this on Insta so I had to give it a crack. The original recipe included maple syrup but I didn’t have any so I went for honey instead. Very good in my book, will definitely make this again.
Looks like the kind of meal that will summon some rancid farts.

Stoked this Spanish omelette worked out alright as last time I completely messed it up. Found an easy recipe with no flipping required, just whacked it under the grill at the end.
Recipe if anyone wants to have a go. Just when you add the egg mixture it requires a bit more cooking in the pan than it says. Can add chorizo or whatever.

Vegetarian lunch today. Braised white cabbage with creamy lemony bell pepper and red onion sauce, toasted almonds, dill and lemon zest. A drop of Tabasco for good measure too of course.
