My skateboarding blog thingy The Terrible Company (aka Terribleco for forumers who were here during the N26 days) is celebrating it’s 20th year in 2023… so I made a full length video thing combining footage from the last 20 years.
Yes, I know I did something similar to this 2 years ago. This one is much better. Honest.
Met up with Joe Gavin and MCR crew and Leeds crew at the ledges in town on Saturday (as mentioned in Stoked thread).
First outing of this little eBay handycam thing and an excuse to shoot some more pics.
Apologies for narcissistic posting.
I lived in Manchester for two and years and would internally fan out so much every time I’d see him at a spot. Nowadays, I don’t know him well – but well enough to have a decent chat – and I still do too, haha.
I’ve known him for 20 + years and I’m still a fan.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again now - if I could skate like anyone, I’d like to skate like Joe.
A bit of footage I managed to get from the day… the filming is crappy, the song is more than likely an ABD but I’m not trying to make the next Mouse, haha. Plus it was the first skate event since illness and hospital, so I’m rusty to say the least, stoked.
Ahh shit that was you on filming duty! would’ve said alright but I’m awful at putting names to faces etc hah, glad you made it out.
I really wonder how the kid who tried to drop that vert wall in is feeling today, session briefly turned into resembling a dignitas center for a good half hour
Yeah me too. Gnarly but it was rad to see so many female and kid skaters there (not them getting hurt obviously). Will make the effort to seek out forum members next time and say hello. Super hot but great day.
streamable.com - It’s bit quicker and easier for uploading short clips etc atleast compared to YouTube and having to do titles and all their verification stuff. non users videos stay for 2 days, signing up gives you 90 so it’s not a permanent solution but for the odd clip here and there it’s alright.
Had a great day out at Rollersnakes last weekend, good to bump into @KeithBeef & @Bobsomebody (if that’s Toby) & enjoy the space being a little less hectic than when Dadlands was on
A little edit here & proof of Derby September sunshine below
