My mate Ross came to visit me in LA for a week. It rained for 3 days and he got sick for 2 days. Still managed to put together a video part for him. Featuring PJ Ladd also as he was skating the courthouse fountain ledge with us and we had the tripod set up ha

We called it Crumple Zone because Ross’ legs aint what they used to be.

Hang on, is this ā€˜Sinn Fein in the membrane’ Ross McCabe?

Also - inspirational good times.

I’m unaware of the reference but I can’t imagine there are multiple skateboarding Ross McCabes. From Birmingham, had a First Light around 2007 possibly.

Ah right, it won’t be him then.
There was a poster on the OG Sidewalk forum with the same name who uploaded a hilarious spoof of ā€˜Insane in the membrane’ probably 20 years ago.
As you were

Lovely! Seems like you guys skated loads in spite of bad weather and all that.

100% of skaters worldwide would kill for a PJ guest trick in their video part, haha! That was so cool.

Casual sesh with PJ, no biggie.

Been self filming a video part for the last 2 years while I’ve been living in Los Angeles. I’ve really enjoyed the process but I’m glad it’s over now. The majority of these tricks are personal NBD’s that took hours to film.

Nice!
Love that even the guest trick followed the same filming style.

Some very Rick Howard-esque mannies in there and you hit up some of the finest spots…

Stoked.

Couldn’t have the whole thing on a tripod then have my mate filmed handheld ha. I’ll definitely take a Rich Howard comparison no matter how loosely linked it is!

Rarely watch vids all the way through anymore and this had the whole way!
Inspired me to try some boardslide variations to mannys.
Lovely stuff!

Amazing. Can’t believe you had time to do this on top of your 1000 skatepark challenge!

You’ve inspired me to learn nose manny shove nose manny.

Stoked to hear that actually- wasn’t sure if anybody could endure a 5 minute part from me…

I often think how many more skateparks I could have got one if I hadn’t have filmed this street part. Or vice versa- how much better my part could be if I didn’t go to all these parks. It all depended on what mood I was in. Street for the mission or park for chillin.

I tried a nosemanny shove nosemanny shove nosemanny but there’s just no way ha. My advice is find a gradually sloping downhill manny pad.
