So did I to be honest I just despair that the public were shot down when it came to deciding the name for a boat because it was silly but leaving the EU was totally fine
I’m jabbed
My take on it all at the minute is that the easing from tomorrow is happening irregardless. Any sort of peaks will be managed locally, and the vaccination program will be sped up (especially second jabs) to try and counteract this new variant. June 21st as it stands is happening but could be delayed.
If this is the case I can certainly live with it for now. The opportunity to see friends and family in smaller groups both outdoors and indoors is going to be fantastic, and wearing a mask and being limited in regards to numbers in social groups as well as foreign destinations feels worth it. Just hoping the new variant doesn’t set the whole country back into a full lockdown.
Although I may be wrong, I’ve tried to steer clear of news etc for the last few weeks for my own sanity.
I’d be surprised if the full reopening goes ahead on the 21st June but then we basically had the same last summer with some easing and eat out to help out so maybe it’ll just be a repeat of that but with some help from vaccines this time.
Mate…
Haha sorry was rushing whilst typing
Had the Pfizer. The process of getting it was so easy, quite impressed.
Had a reaction? Mrs had the pfizer yesterday and has been absolutely. I was a bit nervous because everyone i spoke to has had some reaction to it
I’ve had the Pfizer one and fine so far. I’m a massive hypochondriac so pretty happy so far.
Pfizer here too, fine. It’s the second Pfizer that’s meant to get you, and the first AZ.
Achy arm, nothing else.
My missus volunteers at a vax centre and rang me to come and get a spare dose of Pfizer, had to take the child with me in her Jammies who got to watch. Was in and out in 20 mins. Bit of a dull ache in my upper arm, hey ho.
After I’d been jabbed she told me that 4 people had fainted during her shift. One lad fell on her and cracked his head off the floor.
I wasnt going to share on social media but my brother and his missus have gone all “I’m not anti-vax buuuuuuut…” which is moronic and I felt the need to make it known that they were the same as flat earthers.
Just managed to get mine booked for next week. Stoked.
How many of you lot are doing weekly lateral flow tests out of interest?
Mrs G and I are (I can’t get anywhere near our 4.5 year old with the swab!)
Is this a thing we’re supposed to be doing?
I’ve literally never had a test… Never needed one
Oh wow, it is. Who can get a free NHS coronavirus (COVID-19) rapid lateral flow test - NHS
I had no idea
Yeah so this was my realisation. We’ve basically been super vigilant and have told parents/siblings they can come round if theyre tested and clear to protect me and baby until Im jabbed next week but with all the Indian variant talk and the fact we’re near to Bedford where all hells breaking loose, we ordered some tests today.
I was just wondering if anyone else was doing it? It can’t hurt right?
Iv had one test. Before a job interview.
We’re only doing them for our own peace of mind really. So if we go out or have people over, we know we’re good.
