Covid

If it’s a booster I think it’s pretty much 100% you’ll be getting Pfizer or Modena. The MRNA vaxs have a slightly better effectiveness so that’s why they’re going for them with boosters. Also we have ample stock currently so it makes sense.
I would definitely get the booster though, even with the new variant it’s going to be better to get a boost because it’ll definitely help with Delta etc.
In terms of being worried about heart problems just make sure you keep an eye on your side effects and if you’re worried just give your doc a call.
I’ve got slight heart issues and I’m on statins and I’m waiting for my booster.
Also my dad and bro have both had heart attacks in the past (Both Docs as well) and have been vaxxed and boosted with no problems.
My bro is a cardiologist as well and he’s pretty sure there’s nowt to worry about (Well no more worry than any other general side effects of anything).
It’s ok to be worried but I think having COVID brings more chances of heart problems.

Booked booster today for end of month and 6 months since second. I’ll try and bring it forward if that becomes an option soon.

My friends who did get it seemed to catch it from their teenage kids and say it was rough even with full vaccination.

I don’t want to catch it, ever.

Cos the second gave me some heart problems. Though I can’t say for sure it was that. I’m being a bit para but it was pretty unpleasant, I nearly called an ambulance at one point

Can understand that.

I’d like to have it. I’m not against it in principal but when your body reacts like that it’s hard to ignore

Ever bought home-made drugs off a stranger in a nightclub?

My booster was Pfizer. First two were AZ. No reaction at all with the booster.

I got Pfizer too after the AZ jabs. No reaction to the booster.

So what happened to the Nightingale hospitals built to deal with covid? Genuine question are they even being used still/ever?

Think it’s more a problem of staff than beds a lot of the time. So even if they have extra beds elsewhere there’s not enough staff to man them.
Which is why the nightingales can’t be used most of the time.

Boris probably knew this when handing out that contract too. Post brexit and all! I thought army docs & nurses were on stand by to help fill the gaps in staff shortages though for the Nightingale hospitals? All seems a bit suspect (The Nightingale hospitals being a thing now so easily dismissed).

This. Everywhere. Every over 60 person I see wearing their mask gangster low-slung.

So do I need a booster or not?

Boris said a booster would be offered to every over 18 by the end of January I think.
