fuck sorry to hear man
Horrible, it must be such a scary experience being treated in hospital now and it’s not much fun at the best of times.
Shit mate. I hope everyone is keeping safe, no matter what BS we talk on here, I hope everyone is good.
John Robinson and Fraser Campbell, both OG skaters here in the UK some people may remember from Meanwhile comps and skating for Unabomber, both had it, now recovered.
Anti vaccination lunatics realise that this is what the world looks like without them and see the error of their ways.
A teacher who taught at my old primary school died of it recently. She lived in the same tiny non-descript shithole village I grew up in and if it can reach there it can reach anywhere.
John Robinson was so sick! Followed him a few times from PSSP to Meanwhile just to watch him skate
Glad he’s better now.
His DiTC part was the first skate part I ever watched. So sick, the editing as well.
Always wanted to skate Meanwhile after seeing it; I’ve lived in London 8 years now and still have no idea where it even is
Right near PlayStation.
Westbourne Park tube, take left out of the tube, left again and down the hill on your right. If my memory’s right. It’s on google maps etc. Like Hugo said basically adjacent to PlayStation/Xbox or what ever it’s called these days.
Can’t remember exactly the other meanwhile is, it’s under the same bridge though
that’s meanwhile gardens
the proper one is Google Maps
That’s it, get off at Royal Oak.
It’s coming back to me now. We use to hit meanwhile 2, then PlayStation and straight Meanwhile bowls, place got a bit sketch around dusk so we would go to shell or south bank
shell centre was always my favourite
This might sound weird, but theres a certain skate time period of early 00’s London that my brain has given a sort of rose-tinted nostalgia to – despite me never living it or even being there; my experience of it is only second hand. I think it’s due to a lot of my early teenage influences were coming out of London at that time.
So many more folk out today. Makes me think people will just stop distancing and the rule will be lifted anyway, anfd then everybody will die.
I’ve heard they are starting to lift it on the sly, you can now go for 20min drives to exercise, you’ll see a few more shops start to re-open as of next week (KFC, Mc-D’s, ect). I think we’ll go back to normal sooner than we think and it’ll be up to us to social distance ourselves after that.
Are we in / over the peak? The death rates seem to be less prominent in the media over the last few days
I doubt ‘people power’ will make anything happen here. Other than overburden then NHS.
That’s why I think it on the sIy a little, to gets us use to a new way of daily living.
I think the people that have it are dying in large numbers which is not good, but less people are getting it? Not watched the news today, it could of all changed in 24 hours.
This is pretty good if you want to keep an eye on what’s going on:
