I think this matter needs to be resolved soon.
Just watching a Netflix doco and made me think that a post prediction of weed being legal is much more realistic.
The money the government could haul in from it will change some minds when the financial takes over the moral stance.

Baby got a check up at the (otherwise completely empty) doctor’s today. Asked how long she (the doctor) thought things would be staying as they are… “Oh, eighteen months. Easily”.

Well, the threat of a second wave is pretty real given what’s happened in Singapore and Japan so for me that pretty much writes the year off really so 18 months could hardly be called crazy talk.
I feel a bit bad for those counting the days until the next government review in the hope that’ll be it.

In NZ we move to level 3 on Tues (which is just a lock down with takeaways to most) but by 12th May we could be at a lower level again- I think there won’t be any sports or concerts etc for a while still and everywhere will likely be required to record details of people who enter/use businesses etc for tracing.

To be fair, NZ, a country with half the population of London, spread over a large area. With no international hub airport like Heathrow. They probably could have done nothing and still not seen our comparative rates

yeah i think telling people “we’re gonna be locked down for over a year” is some daily mail shit. life is not going to go back to normal anytime soon, maybe we’ll never return to pre-covid “normal”, but there’ll be loosening (and probably tightening again) of the lockdown this year

Tried to cut my own hair yesterday. Thought I’d start out subtle with the clippers and build up if it was going ok. What I’ve learnt is that a 3 on a beard trimmer is akin to getting a 1 at the barbers.
