I think the idea is that people were using that stuff anyway so it didn’t need economic support, whereas restaurants were told they could open but people didn’t want to go to them

yea same with me, didn’t know anybody around lockdown 1 with it now a good few. Girl I work withs boyfriend had to get a test today because someone he works with is positive, could be heading my way anytime.

Having a hard time understanding why a large amount of people I respect are sharing antivaxxer stuff in regards to Covid? Anyone else having the same thing? It’s really weird to see such a large preachy group of people posting no sourced or fact checked info on socials and be so confident about it. People who I usually respect

The thought that any government would want fewer people in their country is what baffles me. Fewer people shopping, working or paying taxes is a bad thing for an economy.
I’m pretty sure there’s a ‘tracking chip’ in the mobile phone that I choose to use anyway, but since it means taxis can find me when I’m drunk and I don’t get lost on bike rides I’m content to live with that intrusion. The people worrying about being tracked are worrying for the wrong reasons and possibly not the kind of people any government needs to bother injecting microchips into. Some paranoid virgin sitting in his bedroom in a balaclava isn’t a threat to any national security operations.
Anyway you’d think they’d be stoked that they’re encouraged to cover their faces up now. Wasn’t that half the fun of Anonymous in the first place?

I guess it’s the idiotic people that refuse to even give their children much needed inoculations or New World Order conspiracy theorists that we are talking about, when it comes to the vaccine? Because I can understand people feeling nervous that it all seems a bit rushed and that they are just guinea pigs, with no idea if there are long term side effects. Especially if they are old enough to remember things like thalidomide, that’s not that far in the past. I think these are normal things for people too worry about, no?

Have to take issue slightly with the above.
(Mainly because I’m bored shitless though).
a) Turns out that paranoid virgins in balaclavas holed up in their bedrooms tend to actually be the demographic from which various threats emerge from.
b) most of the people I’m seeing posting utter bum milk on insta (only there as i don’t have any other social media) are not sad virgins - they’re fully grown adults with responsibilities and in certain cases, families.

Fair point @anonymity. I do get sent some absolute shit from people now, possibly because I’m doing this course. But possibly because I’m doing this course it’s a bit easier to say “that’s blatantly not true” to people. Maybe they think I’m one of THEM.
I guess it just needs to be a watchable video and somebody somewhere’s going to share it.
