What’s the rationale behind this fuckwittery? If it’s fenced in as part of a leisure centre or something, then yeah, i can understand, but in a park? FFS. Infuriating stupidity.
ah mate, my daughter (pretty much the same age) started nursery 1.5 days a week in september and has basically had a cold ever since. they’ve obviously got to be mega hot on any coughing whatsoever so she only went one of out four weeks in october just to be safe as they’re is absolutely no chance i’m doing a swab on her
can’t imagine how horrific it was
The ones immediately in my area are in parks.
Might check out if they’re taped off or owt tomorrow.
The UK skatepark rules seem to be that if its part of a playground its fine but if its separate it’s closed off. Really odd
Holy shit, there are people out there that are completely mental, that was frightening
Got my 2nd kid arriving around new year’s Day. Looks like due to covid restrictions I will be able to attend birth but then have to leave. Brutal and not stoked.
Fuck man, gutted for you. Much love, and focus on what you can do for the Mrs.
Congrats, Spanky, i’m sure you manage and you’ll make the most of it, it will still be special.
My middle lad woke up with temperature, so all three have to stay home, that’s fine I can be off work today. It’s the knock on effect that’s so awkward. Just gotta do by the books, pffff.
My test came back negs. Wasn’t really worried but was more a precaution. Technically I didn’t have to even get one according to the guidance. But that seemed dumb.
Woman who works for me and I seen for 4 consecutive days had her adult daughter who lives with her test positives. Yet advice for me was to only do something if I get symptoms. That seems mental to me.
Surely the advice should be get a test asap? I don’t think that’s being over cautious I a pandemic?
I mean the process of getting a test impressed me considering what I’d heard. She called me at 6.30pm. By 7pm I was sitting in wall through test centre getting a test. Got the result by lunchtime the next day.
It just seems mad with it being that simple I could be around her for 4 days then potentially be out and about for another week before i develop symptoms infecting who knows how many people
Need to be a little bit careful though, as I think you need a certain amount of virus in your body before you test positive. So you may have contracted it when you saw Karen but actually it needs to multiply the shit out of itself before there’s enough in you for a test to pick up. Hence the recommendation that you only get tested once you get symptoms.
This is exacerbated further in the new rapid tests too, I read somewhere that you need to be ‘riddled with the virus’ to get a positive on those.
Anyone else watched the South Park Covid special?
Not yet… I did make the mistake of watching Joe and Dave trying to join the dots on it all together… haha.
Got a link if you need it but easy to find. So funny.
Cheers, I’m sure it’ll be easy to find.
The first song Cartman sings literally killed me.
i haven’t watched south park in years but omg it was so good. that song was hilarious. kind of wish i still smoked just for that episode
Did anyone that had the Rona feel like their back was fucked? like all the muscles around were aching? Have a little sore bit on my right tonsil. Feel a bit shitty and achy. Waiting for results for my lad who had a temperature but reckon I might have to have a test anyway.
Yeah, get you. I have had other stuff going on that can add or explain feeling run down, like not sleep a wink for over 2 days, getting soaked on the way to work the other day and not being able to dry off properly, stress and uptightness in the home etc. So could be a cold/flu, but most likely Covid.
I do feel less bonkers though having had a massive honest talk last night and instantly our minds felt less fuzzy but today it’s more physical for me. We’ll see I guess.
I have this mad cold at the moment and I can smell petrol 24/7. Like a faint whiff but constantly, it’s horrible
Been reading the cars thread too much?
