Shouldn’t the focus now be on actually how successful this current lockdown has been? The numbers are actually starting to come down now, surely the idea should be to try put this to bed and get cases right down before the vaccines come in.

Fair enough, just seen headlines now saying it’s dropped for the first time in months d’oh. Apart from a few more shops being shut than usual did it really feel that different than being in Tire 3 as a lockdown though?
Does any of this even matter if Christmas is going to be a free for all anyway?

I think a lot of people are going going to treat it as a free for all as well. They know already that tougher measures are coming after to make up for it, for months after. So go out with a bang. Plus it also gives ammunition to the Emma Kennys of the land in thinking the government are just making it up when they feel like it.
My mum definitely doesn’t want to catch it and kill her mum (grandma), therefore there is no christmas for us this year.
I’m going to Malta for it.

Do you need to stay for 14 days for quarantine? Wonder if they’ll have a party to celebrate the UK leaving the EU… Bit of history there, eh!
