I used to have a christmas tradition that ran for a few years where I would go for a walk on my own on Christmas day morning and so did my friend. We both used to just walk to the beach to meet up and get baked.

Best Xmas ever, stayed in BCN instead of coming home, had a bunch of friends over. Got fucking smashed Xmas day, ended up skating late in the evening - BBQ Chicken on a rooftop. Win.

Managed to fly from Stansted to Malta at 7am with no questions asked. We stayed in tier 2 the night before so don’t think we broke any rules.
Covid test when we landed took 25 mins for a negative result.
They stick it right up your nose!

Yeah it seems the police are at the train stations rather than the airports. I don’t think there’s any questions asked about where you’ve come from.

I don’t have hassle at Christmas, just go and stay with my parents for a few days. Only child so just me and them. The mrs has gone to hers already so now I’m likely in the flat on my own.

I don’t tend to go out much, tend to order in for me the Mrs and kids. Sorted for booze though. Friend gave a case of cider for letting him use my Netflix and works secret santa got me 8 bottles of golden ale from the lakes brewery.

Been asked to go skate tonight but my eldest brother doesn’t want us to meet with other people outside the week before the family meal on Christmas day. We’re tier 2 and it’s less than 6 people so technically allowed. Not sure whether I’m being selfish by wanting to go skate. I’ve hardly left my flat all weekend.

Trying to decide if I should get my booked train on Tuesday or get a lift back to my parents. London to the north.
It’s not ‘can I physically get on the train’ that I’m unsure about, it’s all this talk of a new strain has put doubts in my mind. I know I’m fine, I’ve been isolating since Wednesday ready for seeing my parents. And my train service have said social distancing will still be in place onboard.
Not sure what to do. Train would be easier, and might be fine. I got the train in September and it was all ok. But don’t want to potentially pick up this new strain coming out of London on the train and then take it back…
To be honest I’d sack it off or drive.
Well you’re breaking the law so it’s if you fancy the risk of a fine and being viewed as selfish.
I’m not judging anyone. Just weigh up the risk.
