Covid

‘badge of honour’ to have the most cases. I mean, how does that even work. Someone really should send him a badge congratulating him

Wow. Think I’ll try some of that hydroxychloroquine.

And do you have Covid? No.

Point proven!

We have several packets of it here too.
Got it for when we went away a while ago to the Philippines but never took any in the end.
I didn’t realise that we still had it until the Mrs pulled a load out of her medicine box yesterday, plenty of it.

When the US had just 15 cases, he was saying that he liked the low figure and that Covid 19 “It’s going to disappear. One day it’s like a miracle – it will disappear”.

And now he’s awarded himself a medal because he beat all the other countries

This guy has a prediction:

Ok cool, cheers mate.

That’s just a clickbait headline, he’s not wrong it will suck for his business

So many bars and restaurants are closing for good, but nobody’s announcing it until the furlough scheme ends, so staff at least get some money in the meantime.

Such a tough time for the hospitality industry. I saw on the BBC news website, that there are tentative plans to open pub gardens later this month.
Surely most pubs will end up losing money, if they open up for pub garden only beers?

Not every pub has a beer garden too. So limited seating out the front at best.

Yeah this is awful that they have to do this but only option.

Pubs and restaurants are dreading being told they can open, becasue that’s when their money starts going down the toilet. Open your beer garden in October? Right.

There are four of these little videos on BH, but this one probably the most relevant:

Still all worth a watch if you aren’t sure how bad everything is.

The other thing is everyone’s going on about beer gardens and pavement cafes during months of unusually nice weather. Not going to work if it turns normal again.

.

Yes that’s a pretty bleak picture if you ignore the one or two speakers you can tell are hoping for a stampede of custom one day in the future, can’t blame them for hoping though.

It’s an industry where everybody is constantly upbeat, trying to make their business your ‘friend’ and sell you a ‘lifestyle’. Nobody has rivals, and they’re just all in this together for the love of food etc etc.

It’s interesting seeing who is speaking up and who isn’t. Who can afford to operate at a loss for a year and who can’t.

I do know that hospitality is way more fucked than anybody is letting on.

I can’t see the Sub Club opening up again.

Ah, missed that.

Clubs are on a different level to pubs, runners are told to keep their distance incase sweat comes off them and is passed on to other members of the public, let alone dancing in a hot sweaty nightclub for hours.
