Division 24 Wakefield 20th anniversary event and accompanying Wakey zine preorder info

Apologies for doing a thread but well, it’s my shit innit?
So Wayne from Yorkshire’s oldest SOS Division 24, myself and some mates are organising an exhibition and event to celebrate 20 years of the shop and 40 years of Wakefield skate culture. It’s happening at a bar and food place also owned by skaters on Sept 6th.
Obviously this is a long time off but numbers are limited for space reasons so I wanted to put the link here so that anyone who’s keen (quite a few of you have links to Wakey) can grab a ticket now before they run out.
There ought to be 100s of photos on display, plus videos, a mini ramp, booze etc.
Hopefully see some of you there. Don’t sleep though because half the available tickets went in 24 hours.

Bump bump

Myself, Wayne Miller and fellow forum head @PiledriverWaltz have been working on a zine to accompany the 20th anniversary event. Hugely grateful to all the photographers who’ve contributed stuff. Stretches back to 1977 and incorporates as much of Wakefield’s skate history as it has been possible to locate/present/etc. We’ve had no funding so are doing preorders to try and recoup some of our outlay. If you’re keen, please preorder one as they’re going to be very limited. Cheers.

Big up Division 24 and SOS forever.

Skateboarder’s Companion put out an article about last weekend’s Division 24th 20th anniversary event with photos by Tim Smith and me. Enjoy.
